Portuguese delegate (Ethics Committee) in the “Expert group of clinical trials (EU)” and other
European groups related with Clinical trials.
PhD in Biology: Phisiology and Biochemistry and Post-graduation in Bioethics: Master (MSc) and
PhD programs in Bioethics at the Catholic University of Portugal and degree in Biology, Faculty of
Sciences, University of Lisbon.
Several peer reviewed publications in Electrophysiology and Bioethics, and Clinical Research. Focused on clinical research for almost 18 years and as a specialist in clinical research ethics, she works mainly as an ethics consultant, and in the development and elaboration of recommendations and strategies to improve the conditions for submitting clinical trials and studies with medical devices to CEIC. Independence, transparency, integrity and responsibility are the values that mostly have guided her work and her personal life.
